Biography

Professor Kwandiwe Kondlo is currently a Research Professor at the University of Johannesburg in the Faculty of Business Management.

Prof Kondlo holds a PhD from the University of Johannesburg as well as a Visiting Professor appointment at Wits School of Public and Development Management, where he supervises PhD students and teaches aspects of South Africa’s public policy.

His areas of research include a very strong focus on ‘systems of thought’ in the development of policies (political philosophy), politics of exile liberation movements and transitional democracies, and land and rural development.

Prof Kondlo’s list of publications include: The State of the Nation - South Africa 2008 (co-authored with Dr Peter Kagwanja); The Zuma Administration - Critical Challenges (2010, co-authored with Hebert Maserumule); and Africa in Focus: Governance in the 21st Century (2011, co-authored with EC. Ejiogu).
