Incorporating Sound Ecology Practices in Education

The NMMU Business School signed memorandum of understanding for bilateral cooperation with the Wilderness Foundation in 2010. We have committed to develop, incorporate and present appropriate academic modules promoting environmental thinking and management.

Accountability for the Future

The NMMU Business School is the custodian of national public and industry awareness campaign "Shape the Future" which reminds all South Africans, business and government leaders that every decision and action today has a rippling effect on people, the planet, and sustainability tomorrow. Everyone is accountable for the future. "Shape the Future" relies on the support and involvement of industry, media, government, and the private sector, and every

Empowering Charitable Organisations with Training and Education

The NMMU Business School commits R2 million each year to management of around 200 charity and welfare organisations in order to access our education and training.

These include children's homes, animal welfare organisations, HIV / AIDS support centers, church organizations, services to the elderly, disability organizations, support groups and feeding initiatives.

The underlying strategy: if leaders staff and employees of these organizations have access to management, leadership and skills development education and training infrastructures, those they serve will benefit.

Staff, Student & Stakeholder Volunteer Programmes:

Staff and students are encouraged to plan and undertake individual or group initiatives in their spare time, which are aligned with the strategic directives outlined in the Change Tomorrow strategy. The initiative is supported and driven internal marketing.
